National Geographic deelt prijzen uit
National Geographic Society has announced the winners of the 2005 All Roads Photography Program, which recognizes "indigenous or under-represented" photographers who document changing cultures in their own countries.
The winning photos will be on display in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles as part of the All Roads Film Festival. The festival takes place Sept. 22 to 25 at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles and Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 at the National Geographic Society in Washingon, D.C.
The 2005 photography winners are:
-Marcela Toboada Avilés of Mexico for "Women Of Clay."
-André Cypriano of Brazil for "Rocinha, An Orphan Town."
-Neo Ntsoma of South Africa for "South African Youth ID - Kwaito Culture."
-Sudharak Olwe of India for "In Search Of Dignity And Justice: The Untold Story Of Mumbai's Conservancy Workers."
